Fashion in the 90's
A lot of the fashion depicted from the 1980's was influenced by pop culture such as MTV. Some styles from the 80's also carried over. One of these trends included shoulder pads and legwarmers. In the early 90's people tended to wear a lot of denim and leather. Denim came in the form of just about everything: shirts, jackets, shorts, skirts, and pants. Sports wear was also a big trend. Bright neon, colorful bike shorts, over-sized sweatshirts, midriff bearing short shirts, and Keds were all very popular as well.
In the mid 90's people started to dress in a more casual manner. Women were wearing dresses, skirts, and blouses. They tended to be floral and baby-doll type dresses and skirts, or silk button-up and lace blouses. Overalls were also quite a fad. When it came to shoes though, sneakers just didn't cut it. Women liked to wear platform shoes, clogs, chunky heels, and wedges.
Towards the end of the 90's clothing started to become a little more modern to our time. Low waist jeans, tank tops, mini skirts, dresses, and light colors were the trend of that time.
